Product Description

This men's umpire plate shoe features a brand new aggressively nubby outsole for enhanced traction. Despite being over one full ounce lighter than its predecessor, your foot is more protected than ever with a dispersion promoting "floating" instep guard. This prevents your foot from absorbing the impact force while simultaneously creating a ventilation system for those hot summer days. The Mu460v2.

These shoes are very comfortable. They also are very big and shiny. I have decided to return them. The biggest problem I have with them is the size, in particular the height of the shoe. I'm not sure what shin guards would work well with these. The foot plate sits so high your shin guards will be about 2-4 inches higher. I have Davishins (newest version) and walking around the house I just could not get them comfortable with the top of the shoe, which is a shame because the shoe is very comfortable. The shin guards have to be above the shoes a good inch or they will rub your shins. I'd really like to know what the pros use to make these work. Now, they will protect your foot like no other from what I can tell. The other problem i have is the bright shine. I keep my shoes very clean so that's not what I mean. I guess I just like a flat black as opposed to a shiny one...which is just a personal preference thing. In the end I will just try to get another year out of my zigs. Finally I would suggest getting the 2e or 4e because I find them to be very tight. In fact had to also return the first ones (D) in the version 2 because they were so tight The 2e were fine but again just not me. If I had to have a new pair right now I would definitely go with the version 2 as opposed to the v3. In summary, very comfortable but won't work with my shin guards and a touch bright/shiny for my taste.
